Michael, i am curious, have you archieved any profits with this method? I think your strategy is sound, but i somehow doubt the viability to implement it for retail traders (internet latency for example). Another thing is, banks hate to be picked off. I know its possible on Currenex that a bank can ...

At Interactive Brokers the minimum deal-size is 25000 units, above that you can trade at odd lot sizes (even in 1 unit increments if you want). The commission is 0.2 pip of your position, but USD 2.5 minimum per trade.

There is no REAL price in Forex because there is no centralized market! Each bank has a buy quote and a sell quote. It's the same when you go to a different country and want to exchange your dollars for pesos, franks, pounds, etc... Each exchange has their prices posted in the window. You shop arou...

Just be aware that EFX/Mbt does not provide *real* last prices for FX, they are synthetically generated, also they do not provide volume information. Phil Huetter (the mbt api guy) said on their mailing list that those prices are just a "best guess", which should not be relied upon.

Now i am trying to write my own orderentry-window, the standard NT orderwindows arent that great for discretionary traders, i cant...

Hi, my information is that the Tenfore/Quotespeed base fee is 120 EUR and FX data is 50 EUR. No difference if you want the quotespeed platform or just the data/s-api subscription. Both esignal and and tenfore use the GTIS data, so it should be pretty much the same. BTW, for EFX users with live-accou...

One thing to consider when using IB is their complicated margin calculation. You have to put up margin for both parts of your trade, i.e. if you go long 1 lot of EUR/USD, 100k EUR *and* 133k USD will be margined. As far as i am aware, IB offers the cheapest commissions for a retail trader, as long a...
