Re: PowerX Strategy "PowerZ"

Igazi, I know you can write pine script. Is there a way to make a script that can turn off your trading at a specific daily drawdown? I've only learned the bare minimum required to write the most basic of indicators, like the "Alias Script": I'd rather focus on general-purpose programming...

Re: ProchargedMopar's Trading Trilogy

Whether it be channels, triangles, blah blah, price goes from patterns to patterns. When price FAILS to go to one side mid way through it will then go out the other side. So what does price do when it goes to the middle of a pattern and then fails to leave it the way it came in? Goes to the other s...

Re: bakedbeans' learning journal

Hello; Thanks for the kinds words everyone. It has (and continues to be) a long and challenging journey. I've got such a huge amount of work to do, but have now experienced how persistence, caution and carefully chosen risk can consistently work to my advantage... if I accept my losses sooner rathe...

Re: bakedbeans' learning journal

Eval update: Net +0.71%, cumulative 6%, target 6% - I finally passed the apex eval. Today I was patient and well positioned near the hourly lows, trading a 1x lot upwards and scalping another 1x lot here and there. 2023-12-05-apex-eval-pass.jpg Looking over my stats, my average flat-to-flat winning...

Re: bakedbeans' learning journal

Eval account (Apex only these days) update: Net +0.78%, cumulative +0.78, target 6%... back here again. I was scalping using M1 ATR for sl/tp sizing and price at 12pm ET as Line in the Sand for bias. The LiS wasn't very good because I could see the market was bid as it looked to grind up to the pri...

Re: bakedbeans' learning journal

Sounds like a good path to me. You don't have to aim for the stars. An average of 20points in the /ES each week is good money. 1 contract on a $50k account is plenty during the eval. Edit: 60+ points a month is actually good. 20/ week might have been a little overzealous. yeah i thought "hmm.....

Re: bakedbeans' learning journal

Hello; I'm taking a couple of days off live trading... this morning I traded sim since I noticed the volatility was back. I've been looking over my trades and blog entries and I've noticed a pattern of being stubborn in two ways: ⋅ Stubborn when i'm wrong, e.g. repeatedly buying lows or s...
