Who needs a good laugh? http://i52.tinypic.com/34j66c1.jpg Reason for going long: 1. Price bounced off support at 9:30, and the 5min green candle closed above the go-long line. 2. Thought there was an uptrend. Shouldn't have gone long because: 1. Green candle closed against resistance (althou...
commit to trading only 1 direction using only 1 strategy; zoom down to the smaller timeframes and trade normally from there. e.g. always follow the W1 candle color.
I see, it's almost like the larger candles are the guiding lights for trading on a smaller frame, both in direction and...

Relativity, Thank you for your reply. I am currently learning TRO's method around the BZ, and I also play around with s/r. I try to fade the gap using the buy zone in the morning with aapl, scalp what I can or let it ride if there's momentum. I also trade off the s/r with rimm, and sometimes with aa...

cwn6161, Than you, that was very informative. It never occurred to me in that sense (to consider the range of longer TFs). I'll keep an eye on the hourly candle to get a better grasp of what you're saying. I'll take a guess at your question. I'd probably wouldn't enter immediate expecting to gain $2...

Why utilize the 1 hr and 30 min candles when scalping?

Totally newbie question here, but as someone that is learning to scalp stocks, I am not seeing the value of the 30 min and 1 hr candles when scalping. IMO, the time frame that a scalper is exposed to the market is so short, the market direction/trend shouldn't matter, right? I know TRO have useful t...

gfg1, yes I am using chart trader. I exit my trade by right clicking on price, and left click limit order. 2-clicks.

I guess I wanted to trade faster than that, lol, like 1-click limit order at a certain price...but chart trader is pretty good already.

Anyone drinking apple juice with ninjatrader?

I enter/exit using buy ask and sell bid on chart trader, but is there a more efficient way to enter and exit a trade? I find the spread to be a nuisance lol, it often kills a nice 5 or 10 cent scalping opportunity, especially during busy hours.

Filled the gap this morning, glad I was able to catch it because it was over in a flash.

There were a few really nice buy zone trades, too bad I missed it by letting it ride lol...I guess I haven't found apple's pulse yet lol.

TRO, I should of stuck to the rules!

Anyone still milking the cows? I am getting mixed results with the daily and hourly buy zone with aapl. Daily buy zone works great, but aapl only have 1 or 2 daily buy zone opportunities. Sometimes you can let it run and take a dollar, sometimes you take 5 cents. I get frustrated with the lack of op...
