As part of a series of ongoing related settlements that stemmed from investigations surrounding a group of interconnected parties that allegedly reaped over $100m in illicit trading profits, the United States (U.S.) Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently announced its latest settlement with defendant Oleksandr Makarov for $100,000, according to an official SEC statement.
