MightyOne wrote:STEP 1: POSITION
Your only short trade is from the price of 1.3427; where you actually enter a trade is irrelevant.

The fibo is telling you that your lowest price for a short trade is 1.3311.

STEP 2: LOT SIZE
So long as 1.3427 remains untouched, you are committed to increasing your lot size.
You are not trying to be right about direction, you are trying to GET PAID if you are right about direction:

The average trader will short 4 lots (your min size) and make 50 pips(!) or $200.
The Space trader will build a position to 20 lots and make the same 50 pips or $1,000.
(5 times more money ---> that's = 5 winning trades in one shot for the same risk!).
The average trader might hold for 200 pips and make $800.
The Space trader makes greater than $4,000 over the same space.

If both traders are the same person then he will have the same stops/position, the same number of losses/wins, but much different results esp after compounding.

But it gets better:

Lets say that you build your size to 20 lots and liquidate for a loss of most of your space at 1.3400 & 27 space remains.
Your new space looks like this: (20/4) * 27 or 135 pips.
Your total space in the picture was 116, you are +19 pips!

LOTS convert to SPACE
SPACE converts to LOTS

Adding size on a RET, when you are flat, does not harm your position; it simply adds to your potential.

STEP 3: PERCENT GAIN

If your min lot size is $4 then you have a $10,000+ account.
If you made $4000 (20 lots, 200 pips) then you are up ~40%.
Your targets are intervals of 12.5% & at each interval you decide then and there if you are going to hold for more or liquidate (stick to your decision!).

RECAP:

You can do ANYTHING with entries so long as:
1) you have position
2) your size is increasing
3) you are targeting %'s
This is Space Wars.

THIS IS THE Space quote of all space quotes!!
Im so happy Im going back to the future.
You do know june 9th 2015 was the day Marty McFly
Punched into his Delorian??

00 is your Position (ie "mental stop loss") correct?

Ahoy Blue

I would say your 00 Position is a hard stop shipmate - for you would have killed all your space if that line is blown through.

You must NEVER allow more than 40% of your space to be killed on any one trade (preferably much less)

I would put my "mental" stop behind some convenient D+ S/D S/R whatever

This is to prevent you getting wicked out (only a close on a H4 candle crossing your mental stop would require action)

Protect your space - and it will reward you :)

I disagree with this post.
For me,
If this were true we are then back to trading for pips AND trying to protect some or all of our held profit.
Much too tedious.
And trading for pips is stressful.

What ever you are risking (from 00), You are risking.
PERIOD.

Whats 2% of my $ when I have potential to make 50-80-100%?
ALSO.
PRICE SHOULD NEVER TOUCH 00. IF IT DOES. YOU MUST RESTART FROM A NEW EXTREME CUZ THAT ONE AINT IT.

LOL

Sat next to my wife's grandpa for a few hrs. who is on his last leg, being given morphe, and a few days.

Went to eat a lovely steak salad dinner with the wife.

Came home to a gift from our cat.
He must have wanted rabbit butt stew. lol

Let’s assume that you think you have a choice of eight paths to follow (all pre-defined paths, of course). And let’s assume that you can’t see any real purpose in any of the eight. THEN — and here is the essence of all I’ve said — you MUST FIND A NINTH PATH.

Naturally, it isn’t as easy as it sounds. You’ve lived a relatively narrow life, a vertical rather than a horizontal existence. So it isn’t any too difficult to understand why you seem to feel the way you do.

But a man who procrastinates in his CHOOSING will inevitably have his choice made for him by circumstance.

Pro, where is that quote from?

Ayn Rand — 'We can ignore reality, but we cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.'

I prefer to say it tho as,
"You can ignore the consequences, but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring the consequences.'

With 1800 units my space was only 62.
Closing here and will re-enter on h4 or smaller chart setup.

Also looking at a couple other pairs for opportunities to buy.

2% risk is 11.18
+5.65 accumulation

With a position from .6890 and an entry @ 6955
I must use 28.8 cent lot size.

So here is the order.
#1 priority is lot size increase while being positioned from an extreme.
Lets go.

If my pos. Is from .6890 maybe I should just top up here???? Hmmm

Ok.
Did this instead.

Entered partial here and will enter 1700 more down there.
Positioned from .6890

Lets see if we get conformity or lose 2%.
My focus is on the task of increasing lots from an extreme, Not the outcome.
