It sounded like he was just trying to teach traders to zoom out and look to higher time frame S/D areas.

Sounds like good advice to me.

I didn't get the impression that he thought the time frames were all different data.

We have to resort to using compression in order to fit all the data onto our screen.

It's so obvious to me now, but back in the day I used to think that the different time frames were different charts, LOL
