PP2 trading journal

Postby pp2 » Thu Jan 05, 2012 7:42 am

Here's my journal for you guys to have a good giggle about.

Background > I'm four years in trading, full time live for the last year. I went through all the newbs routes, thinking it'll be easy, follow indicators, blow an account, get back on the horse looking for the holy grail system, blew another account, get back on the horse again, now naked charts and horizontal lines --- kres and it members have helped me there.

For now, my current perceptive is to take 20p a day, it doesn't make sense for me to hold on longer (which sometimes I do) as I believe in compounding my short term gains. For me to do this I analyse from weekly down and try to get the intraday direction and take trades from H4 and H1. In the end I want to move onto longer time frames and be more efficient in my trading day. 3CC, space and non time trading like renko and P&F, nice to look at but clueless.

In this journal I will try to put down my analysis frequently during the day, it would be good to get brutal, brutal criticism which is welcome.

I've always thought SR was a level WTF anyway learnt my lesson, weekly, daily and H4 are "areas of interest".

Eu just died. I wished I had more confidence with my analysis and held my short yesterday.

Still felt good that I got the general direction right.

Hi Pp2, Nice to see you've started a log :D. I'll be reading along. I like the way ppl share and help each other here just seeing bettleboxes thread yesterday and how ppl came together comparing ideas was cool to see, hopefully we can do some of that over here :D. Cheers Withnail
1. Big loss, 2. Small Loss, 3. Big Win, 4. Small Win --- just prevent 1.

Thanks Withnail.

I'm a mediocre trader at best, even if I can call myself that.

I will try and share what I know but I envisage myself taking more than giving

And you are always very welcome here :)

Im still testing 3CC as trading method, but this picture (which i added some stuff to) from Tyger clued me in to how to look for setup on 3CC.

the picture is a 1CC bit just expand it out for 3CC. You can see as price is coming down every previous low of CC is potential line, you want to see price close across or holding the line.

as price is falling you asking yourself at every extreme is price holding the line, of course the highest probility trades are from pervious S/R areas.

entries are found by look for 1of CC reaching beyond the other 2 CC for the line, like this. Like MO says "Body in direction of profit wicks in the direction of lost"

heres the full picture than Pebbletrader posted on my log.
