Newbie here

Postby forexxx » Fri May 07, 2010 5:39 pm

I'm completely new at the forex thing. I apologize for all these questions in advance.

Question: Do you guys place pending orders? I'm having difficulty getting these orders filled (prices levels ive set have been reached) Sometimes i get an error message which doesn't allow me to place a PO at all.

Question: I'm using mt4 and i've got 8 pair charts open. Is there a way where i can be notified when the indicators have been triggered? DTB method being used.

Question: I've been using DTB method for a few days, and it seems to be working more than 1/2 of my trades. I'm apprehensive to use the 1,2 sempahores as i've lost a few of those trades. In retrospect i've decided to use only the 3rd semaphore before I decide to make a move. I'm using bollingers and RSI to help the decision making also.

Last one: When the fib levels are hit, TRAINING WHEELS on many occasions have to me to WAIT. And I've missed out on a few long/short opportunities? Please advise.

Thanks for you time

danny.

TRO advises all new to trading to pick one pair one method. Work on honing your skills before looking at multiple pairs. If you're using the DTB method, ask your questions in that thread, they will get a better response. Demo till you are profitable, consistently. TRO and most of the folks here are anti squiggly line, ie no wiggly indicators. Welcome, don't be shy, jump in. Lot's of folks will offer answers to your questions, if you'll post in the thread pertaining to your methods.

Hi I'm new at this thing too, sorry to jump on the end of your thread forexxx...

But I was wondering from tmanbone about how long you recommend to demo for (whilst being consistently profitable) before considering getting a live micro-account?

Many thanks in advance :)

Some would suggest 90 days, some would suggest micro from the start. Each to his own. The idea is to learn to trade before you put your money at risk.
