TRO System Templates, Indicators, Trade Plans

Postby MarketSlayer » Thu Sep 03, 2009 7:08 pm

There are soo many powerful TRO Indicators and versions to reivew. Maybe the community could share what they found to work. Setup a MT4 chart, save as a template, share a screen shot, upload the template and all indicators along with the step by step Trade Plan on how to use the set of indicators.

Efficiency is smart not Lazy

Postby MarketSlayer » Thu Sep 03, 2009 11:36 pm

If that is true, then why does TRO share all his indicators? He could say you are lazy, build your own. The point of a forum is to learn and share and increase efficiency etc. I spent the entire day reading throughh the forum and it downloaded 451 indicators. There is little to no documentation on even configuring one indicator. So putting together a group of indicators and then a plan on how to use them, would take weeks working full time. If I had a setup that worked I would share the documentation etc...that is the nature of a forum so I thought......

Post your plan and upload your template and indicators

Postby MarketSlayer » Fri Sep 04, 2009 12:28 am

Great Patch, if you can upload your system and documented trading plan others would benefit and learn. Then you can have the pride of watching how many hits and downloads and ratings you can earn. Good old American Competition is great....Who has the tightest simplest trading plan that monkeys in cages can trade....maybe we could see who could post the most pips traded. I read a post of TRO boasting how many hits his threads have.....same thing here.
I think the forum could take it up a notch and really be powerful. Currently the forum is very choppy and scattered. TRO probably saw the Tradestation forum where they had one post with a table of contents by topic linking to every topic etc... highly efficient.
Lets see what the community is all about.. People hoarding information and not sharing or people sharing openly for everyone?

Without a doubt it's "people sharing openly for everyone", but that does not mean you can talk your way out of reading the forum to find it's value.
Is price closing higher or lower than something? Simple yet powerful question. ..MO

I apologize, better organized is a what I am trying to say..

Postby MarketSlayer » Fri Sep 04, 2009 12:45 am

What I am trying to say is lets organize and tighten up the content. You know how it goes...you read a thread, download an indicator then 45 pages later someone updated the indicator and fixed a glitch etc etc...that is all I am saying...lets organize and clean up the existing content.
Make sense?

Agree absolutely.

I have a suggestion to TRO about putting at least
version number and date in each of his indicators
(this would help a lot, you know) - not accepted,
unfortunately.

As a result, I'm running a local database,
where input each and every update to each
TRO' (and not only) mq4 and tpl file.
This helps to keep maintaining the code.
Documentation - oh, it's another story.
I'm compiling documentation myself,
after reading and re-reading of most important
threads on the matter (and not only from this forum).

But I have to read each and every post in this forum
every day to find all of the updates and sort them out.
Not speaking about the time to read in full some 500-pages
long threads - not everyone has a luxury of doing so.

About submitting indicators and templates - I cannot
help here, because of 2 reasons:
1) Most of the TRO indicators used are donational ones,
so I have no right to share them.
2) I'm doing a lot of modifications to mq4 source code
myself, so they're not pure TRO's ones.

Your idea is good, but I don't think, that
anyone will help you here this way.
It's considered your own time and efforts and inputs
to collect all the info and document and make it
working for yourself. There are no training
or support (in details), there are no explanation
videos or real help - because most of the
people coming here to grab the indicators and steal ideas,
TRO is too busy to train or explain all the details
or to document his ideas. Usually
nobody else is willing volunteeraly to sort such things
for others and to share his hard-work results with others.

However, there are few exceptions. Have a look at this thread:

http://kreslik.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1801
3clipz3 DTB RPS System 11/05/2009

It has some very good points, including: system,
indicators & tpls, documentation, and some little
explanations.
