The chart is the gospel unto salvation

A trader only has two choices:
a) that which is will continue
b) that which is will reverse

In my studies I have found that, if you are holding, you should feel exactly the same about the opportunity on a 5 minute as you do about the 15 minute:

M15 is a summary of the M5 closes, and one that matches the curves of the chart.

You might conclude then that the M15 must match the M45, and so on, all the way up the chain, but this is not the case:
you only need a set which digests and accurately represents the underlying chart, not all charts.

Less data is clarity of thought:

the mind tosses data that it does not need:

every data point was important, but not every data point is important.

There are charts that you do not "trade":

days, weeks, months, years, they are the result of "doing nothing":

that which is, "izzing" into the future

ICT calls it "time distortion".
It allows him to ignore large numbers of candles when required per the HTF chart or TIME of day.

Without an example, or the willingness to watch ICT videos, there is no way for me to know if the two things are related

While I am "ignoring a large number of candles", I am not ignoring a long series of candles; just 1 close out of each set.

Where someone like Oliver Velez, in the video he posted a few hours ago, measures time and price in a way that can be distorted, I always measure time as two days and price as all of the trading within a single day; any which way that I adjust the scale of the chart, the analysis is the same.

So let's not confuse heresy with religion

Sorry Igazi, are you saying your view aligns or does not align with his video? I only just started watching some of his older videos in the last few weeks, will look at this video this weekend.

I would like to start by saying that I really like Oliver and I think that he's an interesting and intelligent guy; that I take the time to watch his videos says enough about him

The problem with the way he suggests drawing the lines is that changing the scale of the chart changes the analysis:

instead of trying to make a perfect square, he should focus on price over a fixed period of time so that his analysis is the same no matter how the chart is resized.

OK got you, that makes sense, will keep it in mind while I watch the video.
But yeah, totally agree with you, Don mentioned him in one of his threads which got me on to him. I am getting some good common sense info out of him.

I have no idea who that is.
The people they come with on twitter boggles my mind.
Today they were saying there was like 3-4 guys that are encroaching on ICT precision.
Never heard of them.
I'm down to watching Dave and Price, PRICE first.
Rarely watch ICT's new stuff, and he out there calling trades live. hahaha
I always liked to watch his vids the next day.
NO WAY I'm taking someone elses trade calls no matter how good they are.
