Short. Got in short in the upper WZ, added on as it broke out the bottom of the DZ bar.

Wow!

Thank you guys, I’m loving this thread.
It gave me some clarity on the the Dead Zone.. ok I still can’t trade it because I haven’t time to babysit the trades at that time.

However it looks better than the BuyZone, since the initial range is a bit bigger.

Good job youyouyou

I actually wouldn't have taken the UC option today - no bias for me.

Hey Mira, thanks for the kind words. I don’t have any experience with the BuyZone, but I know what it is and the basics of how to run it. It seems to have a lot of fans, so I may check it out in the future. For now I’m content to learn the ins and outs of surfin the DeadZone.

From my browsing on this forum, I know you’ve been here longer than me -- so I know I’m probably mentioning something you’re already aware of, but I think LeMercenaire has some variants of the DZ (the witching Hour?) that he uses at other time slots. If you’re interested in setups like the DZ (and I don’t know who wouldn’t be!), perhaps these might occupy times that are more amenable to babysitting.

The Witching Hour has two variants. The original runs across 00:00 - 01:00 UK time (hence the name) and the second 23:00 - 00:00 UK time.

The earlier variant came about during testing by Wanna and I - he was kind enough to run some numbers on it.

Both work, however in slightly different ways. One will usually be a continuation trade (breakout) and one a reversal (Wick-Zone). TBH, I can't off the top of my head remember which one but a few days of a watching brief should sort it out.

The pair(s) we ran it on were EJ and GJ.

Wanna went on to develop his TrainTracks variant of this for using on the ES (extreme scalping).
