I dont see anyway to setup a trailing stop?
Lawrence Chan wrote:MB's server side trailing stop is not supported yet.
brwkem,
I'm going to write an order interface between Oanda and Neo in C#.NET, so I may write an interface between EFX and Neo as well. This way, we will be able to add/tune any features/order types etc. as we would like to.
Writing and debugging an order interface responsibly is not a work for two weeks though.

I think I would be interested in a month to month to try it out. If after 4 months or so and some familiarity with it, if we could convert to a full ownership with some of our monthly payments applied to the purchase price that would be great.
I'm thinking the same after 2 months or so.
JPT wrote:As to converting, thanks for the link to C#. I think I will start there. Do I understand that once I write my code in something like C# which is free from Microsoft, I can run that code at NeoTicker?
Precisely.
JPT wrote:In the conversion, so that no one has to give up anything proprietary, why don't we all work together to prepare a NeoTicker strategy "shell" in C# or their script language.
I've heard there are Neo traders already working on a general trading interface framework. I am planning to write a Neo <> Oanda & EFX order interface in turn, in C#.NET.
JPT wrote:I also assume that NeoTicker or C# will allow an easier use for mathematical and statistical functions.
The System.Math class in C# offers a wide variety of built-in math functions. In addition to that, there is a lot of third-party math & statistics classes developers on the internet. Personally, I'm having an eye on Extreme Optimization Mathematics Library for .NET

Michal,
For those of us learning C# for the first time, what would be some good resources (i.e. books, forums, websites)?

Eudaimonia (pron.: you-die-moan-e-a) (Greek: εὐδαιμονία) is a classical Greek word commonly translated as 'happiness'. The less subjective "human flourishing" is often preferred as a translation.

Ed, the links to some good resources are here:

C# really rulez. My C#-coded stats I am now working on go thru a 40MBytes 1-ticks datafile in about 2 seconds (I guess the limiting factor is the hard drive reading speed ) The same stat would need several dozen minutes with Tradestation & EasyLanguage.
I remember the common ritual of starting some tick-level statistics code in Tradestation and stretching out for some trading book to read the next chapter )

Michal,
Thanks Michal. I'm definately interested in becoming a NeoTicker convert. The primary barrier for me is learning the new language. Its quickly becoming obvious this is something I need to get onboard with.
