YW. I'm finally learning how to trade with this indicator and like it very much so far. It is better to change it to: Edit->Update Scheme-> By Tick, so that the last bar is calculated properly. Otherwise the last bar won't be generated until it closes.

I feel the same, Luke. It's a very powerful indicator. I think it would be interesting to add some automated buy and sell signals. Would it make sense and would it work with it?

I got NeoTicker with the intention of implementing full trade automation. I've not yet done that and am very hesitant at this point. I want to get there but am proceeding with extreme caution. I'm going to try trading it discretionary more before I can say if some of it can be automated or not.

SR Automation

Postby trader_hal » Thu Nov 02, 2006 2:57 pm

Ok,

NT is not easy to automate. If you havent already played around with it, I suggest you use caution.

I am attaching some code that I came up with to automate any SR2 signals, and they KINDA work.

It would be nice to see any ideas on how to automate signals... issues such as timeframes.. profit targets.. basic concensus?

Hi TRO and everyone on this thread... TRO: I'm still a Tradestation user and like rosenskier REALLY REALLY would be eternally grateful to get the SR3 eld for Tradestation posted onto this thread... (I looked as well on the motherlodes but like rosenskier said there is no SR3) - so many thanks for your amazing work TRO - without these indicators my lack of confidence in my decision making (for everything in life LOL) would have destroyed my trading a long time ago.

There is no SR3 for TradeStation.. it is called TRO_Scalp_HiLo.

I wrote SR3 for eSignal and when I went to write the TS version, I already had a SR3 from a long time ago that never worked properly.
IT'S NOT WHAT YOU TRADE, IT'S HOW YOU TRADE IT!

Please do NOT PM me with trading or coding questions, post them in a thread.
