Just had a dreadful couple of weeks - I think I have totally forgotten how to trade!! - so much so that I have decided to reduce my risk rather than do any further account damage.

So I recon its time to take stock - regroup - find the problem (me) before going on the attack again.

Dude, I sooo FEEL YOU on that!!!

I was so used to my analysis being right for several weeks in a row...that I forgot what to do when my analysis was wrong

So I did what naturally occurs in that sort of situation...

I lost bucketfulls of money


But as I was taking notes along the way, and purposefully contemplating as things were happening, it definitely became a great learning experience for me.
I can definitely say that my Trading IQ jumped up several steps through this painful-ish setback.

Just a few more reviews to get my reactions to the chart's actions thoroughly ingrained in me, and I will be a lean mean, zero adding machine!

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias wherein unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their ability to be much higher than is accurate. I had to add this somewhere where I would not mislay it - It's a sort of a trading psychology lesson, aint it?

I have been honing down what I am doing after a period of introspection - I think i have it down now (said those words before, I know)! but my confidence is very high - spent some time in hospital which gave me plenty of time to think - - I found I can think about trading obsessively 24/7/365 boring eh? (but i always knew that)

I realized I had to make some fundamental changes to my trading if I was to see consistent results. not just tinker with my trades - this I believe I have now done - maybe I have stopped fighting the PA and just go with the flow.

I still feel I have a tenuous grasp on all this - and am using my brain cell to collate lots of information - as MO says if i look too hard it might just ......................!


I should say i am NOT trading for pips - but for steps and sequences in my 12 x 21.6% trade plan

Some trades from this week - the first two were losses - which I wont bother with showing

Trade one on GU was good ,
Trade two {the red "T2" was cut off on the screenshot} was shite .(tho I got away with it - here i went back to my old ways!)
Trade three was shite cause i jumped the gun

I Will show this loss - because I was trying to tack into they teeth of a hurricane - look at the down momo (on the DAILY chart) - it was trying to tell me something - stupid trade because i saw it and STILL entered ( actually got to 0.8 pip from scaling) the wick doll is plain as well now - but on entry it just looked like my entry criteria being met, to me.

To be fair, I trade three accounts with the same trade so the result should be divided by three.

Then because I took aliassmiths idea of scaling every trade at one to one - it brings the result down a bit further - not complaining you understand - just saying .

only one setup today triggered my trigger finger - and here is the result - no loss
