hi guys,

i got a quick question here regarding cc (II_CC_lite) from bredin as i'm pretty sure most of you on this thread used it...

why is it that the cc start not in its proper time? i mean, i setup M5 tf and width 3 but weirdly the cc started from 35th minute not from 15 or 30 or 45. also, the cc doesn't seem to open at the same open price. for example, on the start of 35th minute (at the start of the cc) the original M5 candle opened at 7.0003 but the cc opened at 7.0007. am i missing something? i did not touch any of the setting.

hope to learn a lot from you guys :)

there was a good long entry off the ~1.36470 where resistance -> support to the 1.3660.

was in that but i didnt take profit --- thought we were going after that .3710

ended up flipping it short on the lower high at .3648

-3 + 30 covered back into the low
Bend over and assume the position for another 4 years of hope and change.

I can feel the volume really drying up in the markets due to the holiday season.

Hi numbers, welcome to the forum.

You need to read up on the CC indi. as it works differently to what you were expecting. If you wish to group three 5 min candles to show the body of a 15 min candle, you need TRO's CustomCandle. The II_CC indi groups three candles according to momentum (memo). So it does not have a proper start or finish time as you put it, rather this is set by the memo. The grouping of the bars will move (bredin will get upset if I say repaint  I think dynamic is the correct term.) in response to changing memo.

Here is a chart with both indi. Notice the II_CC bars are set at the last extreme (ie the low of the week so far).

Now I am confused because I thought CCs are drawn to end at the lowest/highest closes and not lowest/highest extremes. Can anyone elaborate?

Sorry bad choice of words on my part. It sets on the low/high close when the lowest/highest extreme is formed.

Humble has it right that the CC's timing are set by the extreme but the values are from tf candles closes.
