Although I am not a huge fan of indicators, I have a colleague who loves the smoothed version of the HA. I am sure it lags to some extent, but he swears by it on swing trades. The link is:

Maybe it's worth a look.
Thank You , I will look at it .

dchappy, what is your advice on long time hanging trades like this one:

It was near Tokyo open, now it's 3h after London open and still hanging:

what is your take on this kind of slow moves?

Nice!

Question, before the LONG entry in the bottom of the chart, there's also a BUY signal. Did you purposely wait for double bottom?

thnx!

Ninja Setup

Postby SnapCracklePip » Thu Dec 03, 2009 3:36 am

Hi Chappy,

Really good looking simple system! I am trying to duplicate the setup in Ninja. something seems to be not right. When I add Heiken Ashi to 10pip Range bar chart, all seems good at first. But after a few new range bars have drawn on a naked chart I am noticing nothing new has drawn on the one with the heikin candles. In addition I cannot figure out the settings to alter to just have the woodies cci just show the blocks......are they LSMA or Sidewinder, or zero line crossing? Could you please provide a template or list of settings? Again really nice looking stuff.

Thanks,

Snap

edit : ok after reading thread back to front and front to back found answer to #1 question.....

dchappy,

Few questions, who's your feed provider in Ninjatrader? I use PFG. They provide feed in tenths pip. I'm having a little difficulty getting a smooth moving chart.
What indicators and settings are you using? I see the Linear Regression on the bottom. Do you still use Woodies CCI?
