Lukx : Try to trade Less .

Basically , I look for trades around the session openings and avoid trades in the middle of sessions .

Be especially cautious about going counter-trend between sessions .

But, having said that there will still be losses , it's trading .

Maybe try setting your channel to width 3 will help . You will get fewer but stronger Semafors .

(I think Cizagui does this with good results .)

The main point is to trade less

btw , I should have been out @ london open but was sleeping ....too much turkey ..

Scrunch up your chart and scroll backwards through several weeks .

Mark the session opens and see how many times price reversed in this area .

Most of these would have been Sema's with good signals .
Those are the high probability trades .

12:30 est is also a good area ........Trade well

dchappy,

I noticed you changed the WCCI bar. What's your settings and what is the HeikenAshi set to?

For 20 - 25 range charts , I'm using a setting of 50 or 60 on the linear regression .

None of the other settings are used in wcci . I only use the wcci to give a "bar" display . I don't know how to do it any other way .

Several traders are using the " squiggly" linear regression in NT with the same setting , it is the same trigger with a different look .

The HA custom is found in the Ninja Trader Indicator support forum ( Thanks to Cizagui )

Thanks for your interest.....

Dchappy,

Although I am not a huge fan of indicators, I have a colleague who loves the smoothed version of the HA. I am sure it lags to some extent, but he swears by it on swing trades. The link is:

Maybe it's worth a look.
