Dchappy:
I have a minimum of 3 charts per pair
1) Macro view: time chart that i rotate periodically from 240 min to 30 min. Give me an idea of semi macro trend and major areas of support and resistance. The euro has a wide area of rotation that is good for trading. I add the Price Volume Histogram and the dValueArea indicators for analysis. once I got the picture I rotate to lower time frames (15, 5 and 1 min) for price action analysis.
2) The 10/100 range chart to identify the semaphore or trading zone that gives me permission to trade (or the 15 min chart on MT4 which I usually have running as well). If the EURUSD is trading in a narrow range (30 or less pips) I may use an 8/80 range chart and reduce my target profit.
3) The 5/50 range chart for trading as per you method. I also added the scalper as in your picture.

I also trade divergences so I do have two other indicators in my charts.

Carlos

Cizagui ,btw , how do you configure your range bars to show the open/close of the bar ? On mine the HeikenAschi covers up that part of the bar .......Thanks ..Chappy

1) In Chart properties set chart style to: HiLo or OHLC
2) I use the RHeikenAshi variation from: http://www.tradingstudies.com/downloads/heiken.html
I set the "Visual" to Red, Black, 3, Royal Blue respectively.

Of course Heiken Ashi uses its own definition of Open and Close

No Mercy ......

( For those like me who are terrible scalpers )

Regression channel ..about 100 +/-
Range 20-25
LSMA 60 or so

WAIT for a Semafor & Trade AWAY from it

( I took all of these with a 30 pip stop )

is this the largest range you have traded/looked at or are you also trading it on larger ranges?

Thanks es/

This is the largest I've traded .

I realized that to make a daily income I could either increase lots or collect more pips .

Decided to trade smaller size (3-5 mini's ) & go for more pips .

Also switched from the Eu to Gu .

I set a trailing stop & let the market take me out , almost relaxing :)

I've received several PM's regarding the CCI trigger , settings & why I use it .
It will be easier to answer here rather than individually .

For me the cci is ONLY a trigger ,I like the bar display as it just looks "cleaner " to me . However the linear display shown here may appeal to some .( adjust the settings for each currency & timeframe ..test,test,test...find the settings that work for you ,,there is no perfect setting!!)

I believe the Semafor is always the key . Pick any trigger that you trust to enter , whether zl,mz,s/r, demand/supply, rat , etc...they all work

btw ..yes the Sema does " repaint " it has to ,,remember it is an " area of exhaustion "& not a specific point .

It is the line in the sand where the buyers & sellers are slugging it out & one must win , one must retreat .

Hope my rambling helps ......Trade well
