Zeller4, nice work with the Squeeze Play indicator. In reviewing several days worth of charts, this trade triggers maybe only a few times per day on a 5 minute chart. However it picks some of the better moves over the last few weeks, so it is something to watch for.

Squeeze settings

Postby zeller4 » Tue Feb 20, 2007 11:56 am

Thanks Daytime_trader,
I normally use 3-min charts and I know John's TTM video referred to tick charts, I'm experimenting with 266T among others. It seems that if we get about 3-5 good tradeable moves during the day that indicate the strongest swings of the day, that is enough. Not the holy grail, but sure helps with my vision!

Also, try it with TRO's dynamic s/r 3.

If anyone knows if the Tradestation keltner, bollingerband, momentum or macd settings are any different, please let me know. I'll be testing with history from the video otherwise.

Jeff,
I was "Googling" today for NICKMBIGMOVE and there's a whole bunch of Tradestation forum info with eld files for the squeeze along with some of the history of the indicator.

That's correct. Apparently, the Squeeze was originally created on the TS forums and the TTM people stole the idea and commercialized it. This has been heavily documented on the TS forums and TTM has been given significant rebuke there for doing so.

Why not just use this indicator and follow the waves. red stay short, green stay long.

Tyler19 - if you trade that strategy for a week off the 5min I'd like to hear the results...
