Re: TygerKrane's Pip-Pickpocketing
I assume a pip value of 1, if the pip value is different then I adjust the space accordingly.
If the $min is $0.50 and the pip value is $0.08 then I will need 6 lots instead of 5.
If the pip value is $0.12 then I will need 4 lots.
(.5/.48)29 = 30.2 space.
If leverage is an issue then set money aside specifically for leverage.
A critical consideration is P%PS, you don't want to reach your "max" and still have
150 P%PS to go with a daily ATR of 75.
If price blasts past your %target then you might consider how many P%PS it takes to
complete 2 targets in the same trade (~185 P%PS).
That is just how I do it, but I am open to new ideas.

Up to this point, my goal was always just trying to get up to Max Lev so I could pat myself on the back.
(.5/.48)29 = 30.2 space.
That's interesting, I forgot that you could use the formula to convert SPACE between different 'dollar per pip' values.
And I didn't realize that it was just as simple as adjusting your INITIAL lot size up or down by 1.
Thanks Again

Re: TygerKrane's Pip-Pickpocketing
Really liking this particular lineup of pairs:
I could swap UCad with EU (EDIT: Max Lev=41.6) and maintain the criteria I like as far as choosing pairs goes, but currently I like the PA on the UCad charts MUCH better.
Other than that, I don't know why I'm so excited to get back to trading, I usually don't expect December to produce large, one-direction, trending moves (not that my assumption is proven to be correct in any way ).
This week, however, was SUPER volatile in the pairs that I am watching, so it was a nice reality-check reminder for how I should INITIALLY be more eager to take profits.
Anyways, one nice Pecan Pumpkin Pie shower coming up, and then off to work on this Friday to finish the work week up...
Let's see what NFP has in store 1hr 15mins from now...

Sesame Street was brought to you today by the letter W and the number 15.

Re: TygerKrane's Pip-Pickpocketing
This is as small as I could get it:
Positives:
- Risk reduced from 1.54 to 1.123% (1.497% if your account falls all the way back to the prev. WP)
- Lower maximum leverage
Negatives:
- 24 more large pips to gain.
- Position sizes are only slightly larger than the 21.153 sizes
The number of trades to move backwards (#TMB) is about 22.
((What $min should be) / (What $min is))space = space
(.372 / .4)30.2 = 28 space
(.372 / .36)30.2 = 31.2 space
