Hi seedling

I think Alias means that if 60% of your account is held in cash (away from your broker) that cash is safe.

A black swan can indeed take the 40% - but not the 60%

just trade the 40% as tho it were 40 + 60 + 100% (i.e. _ more aggressively)

I believe Dragon33 does this every month!

sorry if I misunderstood mate

The most that I would risk is about 0.025%/pip (40 pips = 1%) based on the high-water mark.

Unless price is moving fast I would just enter the trade in two parts.

Once I get in the +39 to 58.49% range then I am resetting the space (+0 in 5-7 targets)

If I reach my target of 39% then it will take around 52 consecutive losses, at 30 space, to give it back; at 58.49% it would take around 78 losing trades.

If you can just make it to one target then losing money is next to impossible...
...if you can't lose money then you will keep hitting targets, if you keep hitting targets then you will add zeros, if you keep adding zeros then you will take over the world

I will withdraw at least 88% after adding a zero.

ANYONE can add a zero if they simply focus on stacking.

How sick would it be if NFP spiked up to the Psycho Level @ 0.7500 before crashing down?:

(Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to add into my position at that point since my margin would be super strained at that point...)

So glad that Friday and NFP are done with, now I can start trading RESPONSIBLY again

Anywayz, a very volatile week as far as my account balance goes, it was all in the name of trying an NFP attempt.
Here are the swings my account went through, throughout the week (based on my weekly start balance):
-1.9%
+10%
+2.1%
+11.2%
-18.2%
(Then, I watched my trade swing up to +33%, but STILL not close it)
And now, I'm holding a trade open over the weekend, to the tune of +18.9% .

The reason I didn't close the trade at +33% was b/c I was really wanting to go through NFP at Max Lev, which I was hoping would push my NU Short, SHOOORRRRRTTTTT
Anywayz, going forward, I am only looking to see how the Asian H8 candle and the Euro H8 candle sessions respond to the NFP (US session) H8 candle. I'm ready to cut lots on my NU lots (even though my bias is STILL Short on that pair), so that I can pursue some juicy PA on some other pairs; namely EU, EG, AJ (in no particular order).

I'm not quite at 10K yet, but I totally agree with you, dchappy.
I remember dragon33 saying something similar...for one thing, it's easier to take smaller pip profits when it is actually a decent dollar amount.

Thanks for checking into my thread

as your chart above shows that 5 - 6% max loss is the sweet spot- your gonna get losses - just keep em at that - or Less 8)

well done!

Thanks again Cap'n
And I must say, something about that little side convo we had, we didn't say much trading-wise I don't feel, but it definitely lit a fire under me, or made a lightbulb go off, SOMETHING!! 8)
