Well, that was quick!!
I was expecting that PA would have Pulled Back Long MUCH further before ultimately going Short (see the white arrows on the image).
As it turns out, PA went straight there, on a Monday, zero Pullback necessary.
I wonder what the rest of the week will bring...

Re: TygerKrane's Pip-Pickpocketing
Week 18
Week Ending 8/9/19
13.2%
Entries: 17
Week High: 13.2%
Week Low: -4%
Ending Balance: 1676.20
I'm done trading for the week.
A great trading week for me, definitely, but the gains came after i started trading irresponsibly. So I'll accept the money, f^k yeah, but I recognize that it was not from trading behaviors that i can build a trading career upon.
Basically, i RESPONSIBLY traded up to 3%, but then as i tried to put that OPM into more aggressive trades, i lost it all down to 0%. At that point i lost my cool and started trading irresponsibly with overleveraged entries that didn't even have confirming PA when i entered them.
My account went down to -4%, and i still opened a trade with excessive leverage. Fortunately the PA (and my trade idea) finally started working out in my favor.

Re: TygerKrane's Pip-Pickpocketing
The problem with having a big gain week like what i just did, is that now, my mind really wants to make it happen again, immediately.
In addition to really looking at longer moves to hold on to for days, I also want to go above my trading plan's 24lev max, to whatever max the currency pair can hold:
AN 31lev
CadChf 44lev (holding for 200pips at max lev nearly doubles my account)
ECad 34lev
NU 49lev (holding for 200pips at max lev doubles my account)
UChf 34lev
Anyways, here are my ideas for the week
NU
A pullback (PB) Short, and then a big move Long
ECad
Ultimately, a big move Short, but that it might PB Long to 1.49 before doing so
CadChf
Continuing Short from where it currently is
But who knows, maybe there will be an overwhelming CAD strength, so that when ECad breaks below my yellow line, CadChf will break above my yellow line

Re: TygerKrane's Pip-Pickpocketing
My big trade of the week
ECad Short
60pips @28lev
I initially was targeting 1.4750 (139 pips) , but saw how much my account was up, and decided to just take the damn pips.
Mind you, this was a very reckless trade. I was at -4% for the week, but entered the trade at 9lev (3 times more than my usual Entrysize of 3lev).
So safe to say that I had lost my calm Professional, Independent Trader composure.
Entry (9lev)
Add-in (9lev)
Add-in (10lev)
Manual TP
Afterwards

Re: TygerKrane's Pip-Pickpocketing
Well, this is DEFINITELY a GREAT week for me!
I could have stopped my trading for the week today with 13.4% gain.
However, I'm leaving a trade open b/c i was actually able to get myself into one of the longer-term trade setups that I was trying to predict at the beginning of the week.
I have the trade open with a 3% risk, so if i get stopped out, my weekly gain will be ~10%.
Sure, that 3% would put me closer to my Waypoint of $2000 (which is where i REALLY wish to start my trading campaign from. ) However, the only way to get the benefits of those multi- day trends, is to actually stay in the damn trade over multiple days, I.E. NOT CLOSING THEM OUT!!!
So.Frickin'.Hard for me to do in real time... I look at charts and tell myself how long i would want to hold on to a trade if i reach 24lev or higher, but when it happens in real life, i want to close the trade after the first damn M30 MOMO that happens
It's the idea of sitting on my hands watching a daily candle do a large pullback and seeing lots of profit evaporate --even if the trade is still positive overall; even if the daily chart hasn't violated any IF/ THEN lines-- that makes it so hard to keep the trade open real-time.
When reviewing charts for study, I look for daily candle chart patterns that i should look for in order to have good exits, but in real time, the impulsive urge is to take the immediate available profit, and avoid the possibility of a pullback that really does come all the way back on me, giving up some mighty fine high leverage pips that were available for the taking.

Surprisingly, most of my trades were also profitable.
I'm gonna see how many i can post up tonight... starting now.
Let's see how time consuming this will be.
