ECad
15pips
ECad H3 was WAY above my tradeable area, but I thought I could get a few pips since it was such an over-extended move Long. Based on the size of the second-to-last long H3 candle, I would have preferred to see the M30 go Long again before taking entry, but decided to just take the entry and watch the trade closely (I definitely did not want to lose a full 20pips on an entry like this.)

Really liked the entry, but the trade didn't work out. My preset 20pip TP wasn't hit, but I could've gotten 10.
Manual Entry, but adjusted SL closer to the high pivot, not worth risking the full 20pips with this kind of PA

Missed trade
Based on the strength of the last M30 rise, I was hoping I could get at least an 11pip PB to get my Short Entry. Also, that would've put my 20pip SL at the M30 high pivot.
I missed a great trade, and I don't see how I could've gotten an entry otherwise since there wasn't really a PB. Sometimes it just be like that

This profit came from some news event that I caught on Friday while my account was hovering around breakeven. ECad Short trade. I actually got 'cheated' an additional ~5% as I had a 2ndDouble entry set up, and right after it got triggered there was an @28pip spread widening.
Charts to follow.
Oh damn that's a gain you posted!

Setting a 10 pip TP on every trade seems arbitrary. Look for sticking points to exit, such as extremes and zero lines for starters.
$25,000 account risking about .5% on a trade would be $125 risked. At $10/pip you would have about 12 pips as a SL and target trades where your TP should be 12 pips or greater. Enter with multiple smaller orders so you can scale out at various places to shed risk and lock in profit. As you gain profit you can distribute it over the next 3 entries for larger orders or bigger SL size.
That's some good food for thought
I actually assumed that once my account reached $25K, I would somehow be a competent enough trader to bump my EntrySize up to 4lev (currently, it is 3lev), 20pips @4lev being .8% risk
Maybe I should take a look back at your 4-Phase money management, I used to be in love with that

I can see myself losing sleep over this idea you have put forth

I tried many trading systems/styles. I was horrible at some and ok with others. I did however discover I was good at one style and I continue to look for ways to be more successful with that style.

Totally - completely and utterly right!! (every word)
Especially I love this bit "I continue to look for ways to be more successful with that style"

Re: TygerKrane's Pip-Pickpocketing
My Dilemma, when two charts have promising larger timeframe outlooks for a Short:
D1/H3/M30:
@EntrySize
@1stDouble
NU @1stDouble
UCad @EntrySize
D1/H3/M30:
@EntrySize
@1stDouble
NU @1stDouble
UCad @EntrySize

UCad
24pips @EntrySize
Out of the two trades I was in, decided to take the profit on the UCad.
I consider a single-point fractal pivot (on H3 or M30) to be the less probable outcome, therefore, I think it is better to assume that UCad PA will probably rise up again.
(Perhaps I will roll the profit into the NU Short if the USD begins to show the same strength there that it just demonstrated against CAD.)
Blind Entry
H3/M30/M5
Higher timeframe view of entry
D1/H3/M30
Manual TP
