I really liked using the candles m candles m indicator back in the day. (htf overlay)
Which one you using now?
got a link.
Sure would make it simpler than trading with split screen.

I also liked the mini charts that were higher tf 5-7 candles inset.
Could have 3-4 TF staring you in the face and still have whole chart view.

The one with no wick. This is the one I used on my last chart.

The weakness of those indicators is you can't put 2 custom charts one on top of the other. There was another indicator that can do that but I just couldn't find it on the net.

Have you seen this guy? He's legit. His early vids all talked about flipping accounts. Worth watching.

You've really got to zoom wayyyy out to see what's going on with the m15.
You can also get much larger targets than just m1 zoomed in.
But, you will also be way late to the setup IF you wait for m15 candle conformations to form.

Think m5 for m1 still be better. We'll see with some forward testing.

M10 is very interesting on BTC.

I know Joe Ross used the 10m chart to trade EU a LOT.
Used volitility to set stop and target sizes.
It was almost always the right size on EU using Traders trick and LOC for setups.

These are pretty cool.
Could use m7 one day and m12 the next depending on VIX of pair trading.

I think that 3 minutes is the sweat spot:

when I construct a chart of closing ranges, based on greater than 3 closes, then I start to lose the essence of the underlying chart;
since a 1 minute chart is the smallest chart for most people then it makes the most sense to use a 3 minute chart.

Since the next most common chart is the 5 minute, it makes the most sense to use the 15 minute as your large chart.

PS: a little too small is not as bad as a little too large.

You're right. But that m15 is used for something else. I got a variety of anchor trade setups for early entry.
