And the most famous breakout trading method of all...

Harami / The Inside Bar / IB

Many people use this as a 2 bar pattern instead of 3 like the one I mentioned before. It's the easiest way to scalp the market but a market bias is gonna boost the accuracy of this scalping method. 1 R is easy to get. Well, not actually easy but definitely easier than the other breakout method.

The 2nd method is going to provide bigger R but it also inherited the bigger risk compared to the 1st method. There are indicators for this to train the eyes or do some historical observation.

edit: textbook IB drawing using an indicator:

But I'm sure TRO has a better version of this thing.

Now question... how many times will you be able to make 1R in that chart?

Nice post!
I just found out this weekend that most of my profitable trades are from the IB setup.

On the small tf, a 2 bar pattern might seem like nothing but on the bigger tf...it could be your gold mine. Especially if you know how to get a solid bias.

Breakout scalp. The easiest BO method (possibly).

Textbook and 1 crooked version.
Peter Crown's (of Forexfactory), Nial Fuller's and also Oliver Velez' stuff came to mind when I recently revisit and expanded my WIL on IB where several other crooked versions jumped out of the chart (not marked on the chart above).

edit: A perfect match for US30 and any other pair that are very volatile.

This thread already contained several different stuff so I think I should just change the title to accommodate the other stuff I put up here because everything mentioned is still rooted in a single word, pattern. Moreover, opening up a new thread for each topic will exhaust me in maintaining them all. So the title has changed from Micro SUPPA, a trading journey? to just Patterns Observation. Shorter, more direct keywords.

Going by Alias way of thinking, getting 1% a day for mff or ftmo is not that hard if we use IB because you get multiple entries in a session especially on the 1 minute tf. It can be 1 trade for 1% (though it's too risky unless the pips goddess in on your side) or 2 trades for 0.5% each or 3 trades for 0.33% a trade.

So you are impressed with the IB accuracy? I think Yirbu said those were his most successful trades.

Using the props I do think .25 to 5 risk is the way to go. You have to put some work in but your stats playout better over more trades.

Balancing Staying in the game and making money is the holy grail.

Yes my way of thinking when it comes to these firms is .5% to 1% a day. .5% is pretty much what they challenge you to do so it wouldn't seem outrageous if you made that consistently. You have to realize how their business model works and that they won't want to dish out "extreme" payouts very often unless they absolutely offset your orders in the market.

Stay under the radar and milk the cash cows until its "not worth it" to you.

Well my first attempt at this was better but we know how kreslik likes to monkey wrentch your posts.

Here are stats posted by MFF

https://youtu.be/FPEVvpQcaoU

Only 10% of people taking the evaluation pass phase 1.

There are other gems in there to think about.

Not everyone can be professional level traders. The stats bear that out. Not everyone can be NFL players either our surgeons. That's just humanity.
