Hi bredin,

I am using the II CC lite indi, just wanted to know what
the optimal settings are??

The reason i ask is because i had mine set on gbp/usd
and after marking up my supposed S&R the next day
the candles seem to have shifted making all my S&R
obselete.

Maybe im doing something wrong, someone please help.

There are no optimal settings. It is an indicator to help your spatial awareness.

That being said I get nice things happen when I set the most recent (3 candle) CC close to the most recent D+ extreme.

SR will not move because it doesnt exist.

If you have the setting right then your CCs will only move if you deliberatly move them. Of course with only one line to move its not hard to get your original CCs back.

Bredin,

Two things my china ;-)

Based on how you saw how I used your range indi... can you set a default option to have it open on the chart it is open on? kinda like a chart = 0 or something... Its a bit tedious to every time I run my template to go and select and change the saved pair to the new pair...

and your CC-lite, can you give it a option "true" to always open on the start of the hour? so i wont have to find it & place it?

Sorry if these request sound a little Nancy, but i run my template on 6 different pairs and its a mission to reposition and reset every time...

but thanks again for the Indi's dude... they are really all that and a bag of potato chips....

Oh and let it be known that I reckon the All Blacks have officially taken the place of the best team in the world from the Bokke in this years Tri-Nations and I wish you guys all the best for your world cup coming up... Lets hope SA can get their game back, because we got given carrots in New Zealand and in OZ...

The CC indi is intended to work in accordance with MO's teachings.

Seems like CustomCandle_TRO may be what you are looking for.
Is price closing higher or lower than something? Simple yet powerful question. ..MO

Jal,
After some consideration Im not going to change II_DB_RANGE.

Now the good news:
Im releasing it again as a singlepair version II_RANGE

II_RANGE

for II_CC_Lite, thats not what the indi is really for candles-m-candles (and similar) do that automagically.
Now for more good news:
I am working on a suite of indis and scripts that work with CC_Lite (which will also undergo a stripdown round). I will add your suggestion to the script to-do list ;)
Now for the bad news: they will be donational, and are not yet ready for release cos they contain way too much of my patented uglycode(tm)...

The AB's have adapted very quickly to the new breakdown rules, theres plenty of time for other nations to get up to scratch before the RWC. Im watching to see other teams catch on the the AB's tackling method, which is responsible for most of the turnover ball they get.
We'll see how the aussies get on tonight :)

LOL okay, I see that why the candles always look so nice and juicy at first glance... Sometimes I see such amazing information in them... I'll have to read through this thread to find out how they work lol

Plots how much and where to increase your position, both are set by moveable lines so you can get it right :)

When you first load this indi the entry price line, the add price line and the average line will all appear at the same place. the average line and the add price line are on top so doubleclick to access the line, then drag it to where you want it.
if you set entry to 0 (default) nothing will appear until you have a position, otherwise setting entry to a value will draw the entry line at that price.

Inputs
entry : sets a entry price if you use another platform to enter trades, or what to play with the indi, otherwise leave at zero.
entrylots : used only if entry > zero
object.layer : you know by now how to use this
keep.lines : leave true, you'll only find turning it off annoying in most circumstances.
E.color : color of entry line
E.style : style of entry line
E.width : width of entry line
AL.color : color of average line
AL.style : style of...
AL.width : width...
Add.color : addline color
Add.style : ...
Add.width : .
show.scale : shows a scale of lots to add at the lines
F.color : color of scaling lines
F.style : ...
F.width : .
show.average.entry : show the average entry lots/price HUD
show.net.position : show net open position HUD- this should calculate properly even if you are hedged- let me know of it doesnt
HUD.corner, pos.x, pos.y : you see these all the time
12 color inputs

II_Average Entries

Please not that this is an entirely new version with different behavior to the last one (v1.2.1)
There is nothing wrong with the old one: if you like it keep using it, this one is just more in keeping with the way I trade NOW. If you dont like it you can always complain to the manager ;)

Image

note that this indi follows MOs advice for setting CC starting pos, and if you dont like it just move it yourself
It should also run faster than the old one ;)

inputs:
object.layer : ho hum
width.auto.CC : set the number of chart candles in a CC
reload.on.tf.change : setting this to false SHOULD keep your CCs from moving if you change tfs, but with the new behaviour probably doesnt matter much
reload.on.new.extreme : reset the CC starting position if a new extreme is set (either by puching the extreme or setting a new one)
find.extreme : 0 = daily, 1 = weekly, 2 = monthly, 3+ = yearly
show.max.CC : limit the number of CCs to draw (0 to disable)
move.startline : move lines to visible part of the screen (legacy, probably not needed)
show.HUD : HUD shows either CC tf or pair + CC tf
HUD.tf.only : turns the pair off (Theres II_ShowPairCool to chow the pair ;))
CC.Solid : blocks or boxes
CC.Candle.Width : linewidth of CC boxes
CC.Candle.Style : stye of CC boxes
CC.Line.Width : startline width
CC.Line.Style : startline style
HUD.shadow : drop shadow
HUD.font : ummm... HUD font
HUD.size : font size
HUD.corner, HUD.pos.x, HUD.pos.y : locate HUD
5 color inputs
