I've got to get this thread read as soon as I understand DTB.

Just wondering, how long did it take you to figure out trading to the point of coming out positive?

And is blubbb's trading system you favorite, or another? jb

I actually paper traded the Futures market from age 16 to age 18 at which time I opened an account under my fathers name and made 85% returns compounded yearly for the first 4 trading years.

My father and I had an argument over the account and I ended up taking my half and vowing never to teach him how to trade

So, to answer your question, I was profitable from day one.

Favorite trading system?

I don't have a favorite trading system...

1. Price moves
2. I move

That is all there is to it

Blubbb,

Can't believe it took this long before I looked at this thread, great indicators

On the custom candle, can you make the timeframe for the open user selectable? I have a weekly method that I'm developing and this indicator would work perfectly for it if I could set the t/f to a week.
If not, no worries. Thank you either way

MO there are plenty of times I just don't get what you are wanting to get across, but for the times that I do, thank you. There must be times when you feel you are just pointing out the bleeding obvious, but if you had not I would not give the weight of thought to matters I should. Like this indi.

Thanks Blubbb. Now I just need to spend a lot of time watching it.

Hello Blubbb,
Your Visual Orders EA is very close to perfect for the BuyZone of TRO's. It would be great if you could make it so that at each hour it went from the open to +- pips based on user settings for entry as well as stop loss and targets. Being able to move the lines on the fly is terrific as you can move the stop loss and targets while the trade is active. I like the BuyZone and it is hard for me to place orders at the hour to catch the faster moves. Also, After the initial BuyZone trade the Visual Orders EA would make it great for placing support and resistance breakout trades. However, I have had some trouble getting your current version to work in my system. Lines show up and are sometimes dark sometimes light. I understand that when light they are active but no orders are placed. What can I do to correct this. I am relatively new and this is my first post anywhere.
Thanks for your time.

On some pairs the custom candle works perfectly, but for some reason it is glitching on the EURUSD.

(EDIT: I believe the problem is do to preloading the indi via a template. It appears that the indi some how gets confused. I removed the template and loaded indi on a blank chart and it works fine.)

Maybe this is because you saved the template with all the objects (lines, shapes etc.) in it. When the indi loads, the vertical lines are still in place and it "thinks" there is no need to recalculate the custom candles. Thus displaying the old custom candles from the currency you saved the template with.

When I save templates I do it this way:

Put on all the indis I want, set the time frame,
then I set the chart to "offline" in the preferences,
I delete all objects,
then I save the template and close the chart.

So when a template gets loaded, it starts completely "fresh".
