Soon.

A software to help you (and me *g*) learn to trade properly using real data in a simulation that can use several timeframes at the same time.

Nice!
You'll release the source code ?
In which language have you write this program ?

Wow...I have actually thought about this type of practice simulation software many times before, but never actually pursued it b/c I couldn't find one anywhere. Nice work! Can't wait to test it out.

Thanks blubbb!

The program is already usable. I have yet to add some details, but if you want, you can try it. At the moment you can only look at the charts/scroll the candles forward/backwards and see how they unfold. An actual trading simulation with orders is not yet included. I'll have to think about this first.

Upon program start it will ask you to select the MT4 history folder (actually the sub-folder which contains the .hst files). It will look for the 1-minute-history files, so make sure you downloaded them in MT4 before (hit F2 in MT4). If the files are available, you can select them in the "Load" menu. TT will load the whole file at once, so make sure you have enough memory...

It was quite a bit of work actually. So the program is "donational". It will be sent out to everyone who has donated to my PayPal account.

Merry Christmas!

Hi blubbb,

May I ask you something regarding Blubbb_MightyZOnes?

It gives alerts when the price enters the zone, but is it possible to make the alert sound whenever this zone is created?
ie . Alert as soon as candle closes and creates the MO zone according to the rules (body x2 the size of previous etc....)

pleeeeeeeeease !
THank you and happy new year. all the best in 2010!

Hi blubbb, I tried to make use of Double Alert indi (and read through the thread), but I cant get my head around it =((

in blubb MO zones I understand the simple MinFactor, where you define the difference between candle bodies (set at 2 by default)

but in Double Alert- I dont understand the MinFactor Wicking and MinFactor Momentum..... The momo alert pops out sometimes in the middle of the hour.

All i thought of was Alert once at Open of candle (Z) if body of candle (Y) is 'xx bigger' than candle (X).

The issue is that too often mo zone forms, price never wicks it (by 3-5 pips, arrrg) and runs away. the recent GBPUSD is an example:

Just disable (=set to "false") the timeframes you don't need.

MinFactorWicking is the factor bar 1 has to be bigger than bar 2 so that if bar 0 "wicks" bar 1 the alert goes off.

MinFactorMomentum is the factor bar 1 has to be bigger than bar 2 so that an alarm goes off immediately (<- this is what you are looking for, I think).

ok, i think I get the hang of it.
if doublealert is open on any timeframe window, it does what I want it to do (as far as i understand)

and i'd only want to keep the alert of MinFactorMom on certain timeframes.

problem is, there are no options to turn any timeframes to false....

it only has
sound
mail-false
minfacwicking
minfacmom
and
maxbars

sorry, im lost, and im desperate for an alert alerting the appearence of H4,H1 MO zones (as opposed to the wicking of those zones) (that happen when im asleep!!!)
