Dan,

Dont sweat the ma....you dont have to use it......
All i use it for is to remind me to wait for my entry..
price on my entry time frame has to be below it for a long and
above it for a short... I had a real bad problem jumping the gun and getting
in to early..facing drawdown....this has improved my entries...

Traditional books tell you go long when above the ema, go short when price is below the ema...there is so much room for interpetation ....traders lose...
I found a way that works for me...9 times out of 10 when price is below the ema and I want to go long it is in the zline zone. Price also alot of times is in the zline zone above the ema... it usually gets me on a 15 min time frame 5-10 pips better price. thus giving me better postion and stop...less drawdown and increased profits.....win - win for me.

Everyone finds what works for them....

The part about the momo is just an observation...if I have my zone already drawn out...and price comes into the zone for a long trade and is below the ema at the same time...I enter....

I'm not saying use this indi as is but it does throw up some things and can help you see momo areas on the chart you may have missed. Been a good day for me today, only been scalping 10 pips a pop using a combination of momo etc and dchappy's Renko method and got 30 on the way down and 20 on the way up. I won't post those charts here as I don't want to clutter the thread with something that has nothing to do with it. 'm finished for the day but I think now would be the time to start looking for shorts if the pa lends itself to it

Actually, sod it, here is the other chart:

I won't post any more of these here though.
Note I'm not trading the indicators, I'm using my prior analysis then using the indis purely as confirmation. The H1 overlay on the Renko helps me see momo bringing a time element to a none time based chart.

Hi News,

Making pips, thats what its about.....Post whatever you like here. DC has been a great mentor to many of us.. I keep his renko's open at the home office all the time. It is another way to confirm whats going on. Nothing wrong with using them as a crutch....just make money!
