Mr. Hyde wrote:The way I see it. A is your bullish momo, then bear momo breaks it. Wouldn't you be looking for a sell since bearish momo is current. Then the next bar with your up arrow would have been your wick in.

Mr. Hyde, this is something that used to get me a lot in the past.... if you notice, the bearish momo takes out the first ZL on it's own (in one sweep). This is often results in the move finishing at the ZL and reversing back in the original direction.
The candle after it is also a sign, I don't have time to get into it atm.... will explain it later.....

Just hit this reversal trade (assuming I got it right) a few minutes ago and wanted to share. This one good for +18 pips total with a quick stack in there!

All the Best,

Is there a difference in price wicking the zone in one bar and price wicking the zone after several bars?
I mean.. If price approaches at the zone closing over the previous extreme am I not in a potential opposite momentum?

I know I could go one tf down and get a better price/faster "confirmation" but I'm trying to focus on one chart period only, like Doji said.

Here I see a bullish Momo (white lines) and price approaching at the zone with a close under (red lines). It's a bearish setup but price closes above (the previous extreme) again and now I could buy.

Here I see a failed one, price approached to the zone (red lines) at the same way but I want to see a close above the previous extreme to see a bullish Mo.. it didn't happen, price was resisted at the yellow line (previous bearish extreme) and closed below. Reverse in the red box if you were long.

For Mira

EDIT to see the chart big - right click and open image in new window

I rekon the EU maybe not ideal for this - but its my favorite for what i do - anyway

I took quite a few hits but made it up with the big one (I only show one loss - but took a few small jobs) [ when I think about it - ALL THE LOSSES WERE FROM THE MIDDLE NOT THE EXTREMES - BUT YOU HAVE TO GET A HANDLE ON IT SOMEHOW]

I trade from the dotted blue box and the solid blue lines and the yellow box at the bottom - I do not use semaphores

this may help with the wickdolls Mira

comments....
when using one time frame..dont use the candles that form the zone..its the following that determine the direction.
white zone clearly broke with momentum up. bearish momentum(red) forms...but no bearish breakout.....just a wick to confirm the long and good entry point! :)

Also when using one time frame...dont get hung up on being wrong. those times are hard enough to find...but when and if it happens your willingness to reverse will cover your loss.(easily).
Again..due to its a momentum zone... 3 momentum candles or movements crossing that zone is nearly non existent.( I cant say never)

If your starting to see this please keep the frame of mind of PA movement being "seen" thru the chart type.. its the same on any chart, time or type.

once you master this...start extending them like you did here... you will discover more... direction of which way the market is going to go will become a thing of the past for you.

Hi - I used a cleaned up chart for this.

Sometimes you learn a lot from a mistake - or so I kid myself :D

I took a pending order - and got it very wrong (old habits die very hard!)

The chart below shows the m15 close over
2017-04-20_1000.png
2017-04-20_1000.png (15.43 KiB) Viewed 3332 times

This is the m5 with the zone altered to suit the pa - and the momo that subsequently wicked up - I should have listed to my inner voice! - i thought "s**t, thats not right - when the m5 closed

so what was to be an add wasn't - If i was doing this correctly there was no entry signal at all - except for the momo up candle - signalling UP

And the result

just maybe a stop and reverse was in order after that initial m5 momo candle

Hi all,

My attempt since a long time. I´m testing all sort of timeframes and chart types.
Currently im looking into using Tickcharts and Rangebars.
Attached is a trade of a Tickchart 250 i took.

Note that the zone is a bit off, different than how you draw them. I did this because otherwise the zone would just become a line which
i find harder to use i guess.

What i dont understand fully, or perhaps due to the language barrier, what is exactly meant by ´wicks show deception´?
Say after a zone has been formed, do you mean that the wicks on non momo candles only are some sort of retest and failing attempt, like
bodies show the way?

Thanks guys.
