Keep with the draw-down so you can learn how to be profitable while you're in it.
Personally, I think most trading ocurs whilst in some form of draw-down because of the initial spread on each trade, so it should be expected that draw-down, whether it be big or small is inevitable. I know there is a tendency and natural compulsion to always wait to be in positive before entering another trade as supposedly a way to maintain risk. The thing is, the price does not know you're in draw-down, so why wait for price to be out of draw-down? Waiting to get out of draw-down can be unrealistically time-consuming and a waste of time making many forfeit excellent opportunities that occur on the way.
If the future is unpredictable, ask yourself is there ever really an entry rule?

this has been mentioned 100 times before
but
demo is a waste of time. Practically no one has the discipline to treat a demo account they same EXACT way they would a live account.
You will not learn anything emotionally trading in demo.
Trade at a penny a pip, but do not trade in demo.
it is an utter waste of time

There's a time and place for everything.
lol
i guess we will just have to agree to disagree
you show me just 1 person that can trade demo and get the emotional effect of real money and i will give you a pip
so you are saying it is better to trade demo because it is a high risk system, and then just jump into live expecting the same results because you were able to accomplish it in demo?
demo is worthless, it gives you a false sense of security and therefore that just adds yet another thing you have to overcome when you go live
why not just trade at a penny a pip and get the emotional lessons at the same time ?
makes no sense not to

I find it comedic that you suggest demo trading experience is worthless when I could bet money that when you started, you started with demo yourself. I doubt you jumped into live-trading the minute you decided to join forex. Therefore, suggesting others not to demo is hypocritical.
Of course emotional aspects are different in live, but they don't mean anything either if you don't learn to trade first. Emotions/Psychology is one of the last steps to conquer when learning this market, not the first.
Additionally, I don't trade manually. I design bots that trade for me which I test under demo first. A bot does not know the difference between demo and live. This is how I manage psychology, because I am aware that the bot will stick to the plan consistently and is much faster to react to given conditions, to develop/test a bot or manual strategy on live is like testing an aircraft prototype when it first comes out of the hangar with 295 people.
